Hello!

I am a Steiner mother and a student of Anthroposophy.
This path has shaped how I see childhood — not as preparation for life, but as life itself — and has guided my understanding of parenting as a sacred, time-bound responsibility in the unfolding of the human being.

Tejas emerged from this way of seeing — and from standing at a threshold alongside my own child.

Lovely to meet you!

The word Tejas carries a radiant thread through languages and cultures.

In Sanskrit, tejas speaks of inner brilliance — the spiritual fire that lives within each human being. It is the light of will, of warmth, of becoming.

In my native Portuguese, it gently echoes the word esteja — a form of estar, meaning to be, to dwell, to rest fully in the present moment.

In Spanish, tejas means roof tiles — a quiet symbol of shelter, community, and the shared home we weave together.

Across these ancient and modern tongues runs a shared truth:

To travel well is to be wholly present.
To walk the world with Tejas is to move through it radiant and awake.

To travel is to become.

How Tejas was born

Tejas was born from a personal longing — to offer my child and my community more than just a holiday. I wanted travel to be a living education, where reverence, curiosity, and relationship guide the way.

I’ve spent over 20 years building partnerships, shaping brands, and curating experiences for some of the world’s most dynamic companies. From media and marketing to business strategy, my work has always been about connection — understanding what moves people, what inspires them, and how to create moments that last.

But somewhere along the way, my own journey began to call me inward. Motherhood, a deep encounter with Steiner education, and a growing reverence for cultures and traditions opened a new path — one where travel could be more than escape. It could be soul work.

Why this work matters

As a mother, I see firsthand how easily the world can overwhelm our children with speed, division, and distraction.Through intentional journeys rooted in story, culture, and spirit, I’m doing my small part to weave healing back into how we experience the world — together.

But I also began to see something else: that many children are not overwhelmed because they are fragile, but because they are crossing thresholds without guidance.

When children are met with beauty, story, rhythm, and meaning —
when they are supported to meet the world at the right moment —
they grow steadier, more courageous, and more at home in themselves.

Through intentional journeys rooted in culture, spirit, and lived experience, Tejas seeks to restore something essential:
a sense of connection — to place, to people, and to one another.

This work is not about consuming destinations.
It is about meeting the world in a way that strengthens the human being.

Witnessing the Threshold

There are moments in childhood — and in parenthood — when something quietly changes.

The child who once moved within the world begins to look out into it.
Questions deepen. Sensitivity sharpens. The inner compass begins to form.

These are thresholds — not problems to solve, but passages to be witnessed.

Tejas exists to support families through these moments of crossing.

Not by rushing the child forward.
Not by filling the journey with noise or information.
But by creating conditions where presence, courage, and inner steadiness can take root.

In these years — particularly around the 9–12 threshold, and again as adolescence approaches — what children need most is not explanation, but a calm, attentive adult walking beside them.

This is the work of witnessing.

Travel, when held with intention, becomes a powerful vessel for this work — offering real encounters with beauty, contrast, struggle, and meaning, without overwhelming the senses or fragmenting the soul.

Tejas journeys are designed not to impress, but to hold.

To help children meet a big world —
and not be lost within it.

What Tejas offers

Tejas is a gentle bridge between education and experience.

Between the inner life of the child and the widening world they are stepping into.
Between the parent we have been and the one we are becoming.

Each journey is designed with care, developmental awareness, and deep listening — honouring both the child’s stage of life and the adult walking beside them.

This is my offering:
A small intentional step toward the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.

Let’s journey with purpose.
